recently ive been unable to connect to some sites. when i try to i get the "Connection refused" error in firefox and the "Page cannot be displayed error" in IE.
i know that the sites work because i can access them from my mates computer. any ideas on this?

This could be related to an entry in your hosts file. Read "Connection refused when contacting www.msgplus.net" (note that it deals with a different site than yours).

thanks it worked like a charm, although theres a slight problem. no animations/pictures appear (well on lik-sang)

Ensure that the location of those images is not blocked either. Also ensure that you do not have any ad blockers that could intercept the images.
