Since some days ago i started coughing, in the last two just at night and when i try to sleep it gets strong and i have to get up a bit and go to bed again.

Ive searched on google in portuguese and english, and i discovered that i may have asthma..

I used to have it when I was younger.. if u really do have it id suggest going to see a doctor at first. a way to get rid of it would be to do a sport.. if u practice ur breathing u can loose it.

Sometimes if you are growing too fast, then you can develop asthma, this is because your lungs don't grow very fast, meaning the lung capacity isn't enough for what your body needs... Just go to the doctors and get an inhalor, it may cost you like €10, but it would be worth it...

Well, being a chronic asthma sufferer for more than 2 decades, I know that you can't 'catch' asthma.

The following link has info on asthma, including saying that most people that have asthma usually have a family member that has asthma, eczema, or a combination of both.

http://www.medinfo.co.uk/conditions/asthma.html

I suspect that something you have worn or slept on in the past few days has given you some sort of broncial alergic reaction, not full blown asthma.

There are couple of ways of breathing I know: using your chest and using your abdominals. While you medite,  I think they use the chest one and they breath calmy, deep breathes after 5 (I think) short ones.
In yoga they teach you breathing. Learning how to breathe correctly makes your blood circulate better which gets more oxygen into your brain which makes you more calmer, I believe, I might be wrong though.

You're still breathing? Why?
Get off the cross, the wood is needed.
