Don't you just hate when your connections timeouts and you don't know if the contact has received your message.
How about a plugin that displays a confirmation of receipt of message, like a green light if the contact has received and a red light if contact has not confirmed receipt of message..should be handy!

if the message has not been recieved then messenger will send you the message

I wouldn't mind something like that. I'm currently on a very fickle connection, and sometimes I "log off" without it actually showing that I lost connection and not informing me whether the last message was sent or not, which causes a fair bit of confusion when trying to continue the conversation. Having a small indicator somewhere (maybe under the Plus! buttons on the left side next to the typing box) would be handy.
