Pentium 233mmx
64MB Ram
2.1gb
cdrom
usb
56k
whati was going to updgrade to was:
Pentium II
at least 512mb
at least 60 - 80gb
and a dvd/cd burner
and a network card.
I wish you luck in your upgrades:
You're going to have trouble with the processor upgrades because of the socket differences [maybe], as well as compatibility with the laptops motherboard
You're going to have to try and find compatible RAM for the machine as it will be SDRAM for laptops and will be quite expensive.
That machine most likely wouldn't support a hard drive that large (BIOS limitation)
You're going to need to try and find a CD/DVD drive with the same width/height/legth and most importantly the same interface, unless you purchase an external one.
All in all, it is going to be quite expensive and probably won't work how you want it to.

I still have that comp i used it alot a couple of years back..I actually tried to put XP on it..and the hardrive kept getting all used up by the information that xp accumulates everytime you use the comp and alot of programs that xp used were not compatible,...I eventually put 2000 on it and had no problems with that at all..Its not Xp but its hella better than 98.But if you do need any help please pm me..Like i said I still have the comp..I can dig it up for u and everything is still installed..and it works just fine..
I doubt 2000 is much smaller and anything from 98 that is incompatible with XP will also be incompatible with 2000.
