Have you ever wanted to ask an important question to one of your contacts, but they weren't online at the time? Sure you could set a "come-back message" but then you wouldn't be there to see the response and its impersonal.
How about a small note/reminder window that pops up the next time the contact is online. Perhaps with snooze/dismiss buttons as well. Now that would be nice. What do you think?

I'm sure people would use it.... I probably would occasionally when I'd have something important to talk to somebody about.... I guess the only downfall would be that you might not be there to see your reminder either

i think it is a really good idea. I always have that problem, i want to talk to someone and they have gone offline. Great thinking

Umm, this is already implanted. You can set a popup to show the next time a specific contact comes online.

But not with a little note reminding you about what to ask.

You can use Outlook. It's very useful for reminders.

I agree with Vilkku, there's already a popup...

hmm... does sound familiar, im sure there is already a very similar thing already out there (maybe for a different program tho) but i might use it.
