Don't expect anything to happen to the sites you report. It's very hard to legally shut down many sites located in remote areas of the world (which is where most area).

yep it took about 4 years to close the likes of winmx and edonkey...you'd need about 100 other people to close down most websites if they report it.

If he wants to report them, he can. And it would even be a good thing to do.

What do you actually accomplish? :P I mean, do you get a badge or something? If so, let me know, and I'll report with you!
Why do you need to have a reward for something doing good. A reward would be nice, but not getting one shouldn't be a reason for not doing something like that.

Good luck.... there is a shit load of warez sites out there, your not
even gonna scratch the surface.
If everybody thinks like that, then indeed it will have no effect. Though, if everybody does a small bit, a lot can be accomplished.

But that's a bit different than normal warez sites though. Nevertheless, it indeed highly depends on what site it is, the backsupport it recieves, where it is located, etc...

But if nobody ever does something about it, nothing will ever change.

Depends on what sites. Some sites are located on servers which do not tolerate warez at all (most servers). All it takes are a very few (or often only 1) abuse report to kill their account if the complaint is legit.

 Well, that's how I work. I don't waste my time on things that don't concern me if I don't get something in return.

Hack, hack, hack!

Trust me they found it easy to do to me ;)

I think it is harsh to report them unless they are making profit or doing something really bad as you may ruin someone's hard work but there is my view :)

WinMX got shut down?

I think that really shutting down Warez sites is just like finding following the trail of breadcrums. Just they never end.

well they are ruining someone hard work. the softwares are free, and the company/person may lose lots of money thnx to this. i personnal think that there should be only half of of existing warez sites. Its just too much... :undecided:
