My household runs MSN Messenger on 5 different PC's including mine all from the same internet connection. Only my computer (newly wiped) does this. I seriously don't think a simple re-intalling of MSN Messanger will work considering i have already updated it to a newer version and still not helping.

how are you connected to the internet? wifi? wireless connections are more likely to cut out and drop connections. if you have a cabled network see if anything is loose. anything other solutions are probably software related.
