is my D Link DI-524 compatible with my usb modem?

not by usb...the only way u can connect the D link with your modem is by an ethernet cord.  your modem should have usb and ethernet on it. 

im just waiting for my modem to come in the post. its the one given out by tesco broadband. does any1 know if this is compatible?

im sure no one has heard of that company unless they are from around your area...can u tell us the exact name of the modem...maybe by looking in the manual it came with which might be on paper or on a cd or the box it came it.

Most cablebroadband modems have both a USB and an Ethernet socket. It allows users the choice of which to use: Ethernet for those with a network card, USB for those without.

Edit: ADSL modems don't usually have USB connections, but cable modems do.

and most routers dont have usb ports on them they only have ethernet.

sorry i cant tell you the name of the modem. the stupid isp doesnt give you any details of the typ of modem it is.

did you ever get the modem?

it should be comin in the nxt couple of days. post is a bit slow because of christmas and all that.
