Block Checker

My friends dumbass sister went to http://www.******************* and got some lame virus that spams it through msn

anyway to get rid of it? or just do a virus scan?

One of my friends enconuter this problem also, and he successfully deleted it. Not sure how he does it though, but he did tell me about how in mere details.

the steps:
CTRL + ALT + DELETE to bring up the windows task manager
End Process of the Block checker [something like that]
Go to 'C' Drive and delete the file.

On reading CookieRevised tutorial, this does not look as if it will work.

Actully, even if it does, there still is some registry files I belive that need to be cleaned up.

I know the link was given before (by lp15). But I replied and confirmed again to lp15 that what he believes is true, is indeed a fact.

Also, lately people seem to miss links given in threads (or simply don't read them... even see this thread for that), so it doesn't hurt to repeat a link. Especially if replies are given with half- or non-solutions while the complete solution was already given...

yes there is a way if u go the the website then from there help and 2nd from the bottom there is a word in blue "tools" download the winwip and then extract the file thats how i got rid of it

Hitch, please READ a thread before you make a post (and verify that your solution works)!!!

It is possible that you missed a post while reading, but the PROPER solution is already given douzen of times in this thread, including in the very first reply of this thread. Missing all that simple means you didn't read anything (including the first reply and including the last post before you posted!!!!). So there is NO need to keep on giving half-arsed solutions (yes, the "tool" listed on that website only does part of the job. Moreover, that site isn't accessable anymore anyways)...

Please READ CookieRevised's reply to "Block-Checker" for a proper way of removing this malware.

thats because the rest of it depends on ur computer and the winzip you have thats why i can only give half instuctions
