O.P. Video programs crash
I recorded some videos of me playing some games using Fraps but everytime i view the video, it plays at a fast speed, the sound is fine though, then a few seconds later the program will crash. it only happens using the usings made by Fraps. i happens in WMP, Uleasd VideoStudio and Windows Movie Maker. any ideas?

Sounds like Fraps is messing the video file up. If non-Fraps videos work in all those media players, then it is definately Fraps at fault.

Try reinstalling the codec by reinstalling Fraps.

Once again I point the blame squarely at screwed codecs.

Any standard video program on Windows will use DirectShow (or VFW). Quicktime doesn't.

Notice that whatever plays in QuickTime plays in QuickTime, but you can't make it play anything other than what it played when you first installed it.
