You can see what the registry tweaks do here: http://www.msgplus.net/help_registry.php

quote:
HKCU\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences
ShowNotMinimised
dword
0

Boolean value. If true (1), new chat windows are not displayed minimised when they are created.

If you are not familiar in editing the registry, it is advisable that you use Plus! Tweak by Choli.  :)
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature

Has she signed out and back in to MSN Messenger? (Or restarted the computer?)

The only way the settings are reloaded is if Messenger Plus! is saving settings (through the Preferences window) or you are logging in. So I suggest have her log out and back in or restart the computer so Plus! will read this new setting.

yea I did that, after applying the registry entry got her to sign out of msn and go back in but its still happening. that and she says it takes her like 3 clicks to bring up the event log from the msgplus icon.. got her to install the new version of msgplus but it didnt fix anything.. then told her to reset options to defaults and that hasnt done anything either.. I cant think of anything else to try.. cept maybe uninstalling or upgrading msn.

Yes, I know this thread is years old.

But this do not seem to work, i tried adding the registry DWORD, but it makes no difference.

How can i make new chat windows appear NOT minimized ?
Its annoying, when im in a fullscreen program like a game. i cant see new chat windows coming up.
