net stumbler problem....

O.P. net stumbler problem....
how can i connect to  wireless networks i see in netstumbler but that i can see in network stumbler but i cant see in windows wireless manager, they are not password protected..?
yes, i have permission...

Several reasons:

- They could be too far away. The Wireless Zero Config stuff in Windows will only show those with a decent enough signal strength to try and connect.

- They may not be broadcasting an SSID.

What you can do is add the network to your "Preferred networks list" in the Zero Config software. I don't have my laptop with me right now, but once in the Zero Config window, click 'Change the order of preferred networks' on the left. Add the details in there.

Alternatively, your laptop/machine may hace come with its own software to configure the wireless network connection - try using that.

Also remember that NetStumbler turns off Windows' own wireless service in order to run properly.

Don't think so: NetStumbler only detects networks AFAIK.
