I have a FTP folder set up for my website, i can upload and download small file, or even biggish ones, but each week, i upload a 30,000KB to 60,000KB mp3 file and it used to be fine. Now it uploads for like 10 mins, 80% left-ish, but then it goes:

An error occured coping files to the FTP folder. make sure you have permissions to put files in this folder.

200 TYPE is now 8bit Binary
227 Entering Passive Code (67, 15, 40, 11, 211, 39)
50 Acceoted Data Connection

can anyone help their? ive tried using my file manger on my CP, but it takes long to upload the files and it times out on IE

Well first of all you should switch to a better faster and safer alternitive to Internte Explorer such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera 8.

Maybe you should make sure that you are not running out of space/bandwidth on the server. Maybe your host does not alow .mp3 extensions their server. Also try restarting your FTP client or try a diffrent one. Renew your IP address. Also did you try restrarting your computer?

If all of that fails then I don't know what to do, try contacting your server.

It sounds like disk quota or the filesystem on the server getting full.  Try to free some space and see if it helps.

I like IE though. shit, but simple enough, no pissing about wit this can do that that can do this. plus, its good for buisness, coz most other ppl use IE, and then i know how this'll work for them.

my bandwith is unlimited, as for diskapce, im pretty sure i have loads legft.... i get 500 MB a month

i dont use a client, i have it as a folder ive st up on windows as a network friend of whatever

how do i renew my IP? is there a program that odes this?

Edit 2: I deleted two old big mp3's, and ried to upload the new one, that didnt work. LOu_Hab's if your reading this PM me with any info u might know, i need this ASAP

I promise that this should be fixed soon. We are buying a new server to get rid of all these ugly problems. our current server can't handle this much load and is just too slow. I hope we can finally make the deal (if sithtoast would hurry up this would already be done by now). Sorry about any problems.

Well, for now, you can upload it somewhere like Rapidshare or YouSendIt
