after chating and working on it with matty for about 2 hours (i think), i got it working again, perfectly, here's how i did it, for future referance

i opened up the computer, and took out the hard drive, and put it in another computer, i then clicked start >> run then entered this:

chkdsk X: /f

replacing X with my drive letter

that fixed all the errors on my hard drive from when i had to flick the power off, because it froze

i then reinstalled the hard drive back in to my computer, and it started up perfectly

true, but i don't have a proper windows CD's so it wouldn't work, also i didn't really check back here after i started talking to matty,

plus it was matty that helped me diagnose what was actualy wrong, but thanks yottabyte anyways, its still good advice

Taking it out and putting it in another computer was an alternative to using Knoppix, i just didnt suggest it because i wasnt sure you would know how, or have another computer to do it with.

Im glad you fixed your problem.
