same apparently my contact list was in read only mode or unavailbe from WLM help ...

So any news on the reason for this, Service Status says everything is ok

MS almost never communicates about server failures and the server status page is often wrong.

I thought if a server went down then when you try to log in it should try to find a working server (hence the reason some people arent having problems). Seems when i press Sign In, it just gives up after a second or so.

I had lots of problems today with my WLM messenger. I created a new MSN account yesterday and I couldn't sign in for hours. But my old one worked all that time.

Apparently a lot of people created a new account today. I was added again by at least 3 people. Funny enough, I didn't experience any problem at all.

Same here, yet alot of my contacts have been in past few days.

Everything seems fine here, except the OIM service.
