O.P. Problem signing in with VPN
I can't seem to login on MSN Messenger when I'm on VPN.  I didn't have this problem before installing Messenger Plus. Can anyone help?! Thanks!

Messenger Plus! does not interfere at all with the signin process of MSN Messenger. Are you sure all the settings for the VPN are still set in the MSN Messenger options?

Go there with your VPN not connected and make a note of your IP address.  Connect your VPN and go there again.

If the IP address you see is different the second time, that means your Internet access -- including web surfing, Messenger connection etc. -- is being routed through your work/school (or whatever the VPN is for) when the VPN is active.  This is common.

If that is the case, I'd suspect the administrators of the network you are connecting to have blocked use of MSN Messenger, and since the VPN redirects all traffic throgh their network, the block also affects you at home.  You can talk to them about changing that.

Or you can make the VPN Connection not use the default gateway as that was causing connectivity problems when I connected to a VPN.
  • Properties of VPN Connection
  • Networking Tab
  • Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
  • Properties Button
  • Advanced Button
  • Uncheck 'Use default gateway on remote network;
  • OK Button
  • OK Button
  • OK Button
  • Disconnect from VPN, reconnect and should work :)
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature
