I know many of you are waiting for the next Phoenix to be released: thing is, with the imminent release of Windows Live Messenger, I've decided to take a different approach for future releases. Personally, I don't see the point in working on a plugin for Plus! 3, only to stop development as soon as it's released and move on to a Phoenix for WLM. So, here's what I'm intending to do:
Similar to what TB has done with StuffPlug 3, Phoenix will become a stand-alone add-on for Messengers from 6.2 through to 8.0. It will retain most if not all it's current features, and be extended with some new stuff I've wanted to do for some time now.

It's going to take a while. I'm currently looking to have it release-ready by August/September (I currently have uni work to do, and exams start soon). However, I still want to gather opinions, requests, feedback etc. in readyness for the next version.

I also want a vote on the name: it's going to be a major funtamental change from the Phoenix we all know, so it'll need a new name. I've come up with two: if you think of anything better, please let me know.

Pheonix Live in my opinion.

Phoenix Live, mainly because you said  that name before

Phoenix Live...cuz "Live" is obviously the "in" word for Messenger at the moment lol

Why not? Phoenix after all is a city... And achilles is just an old greece guy
