O.P. Can't install MAC OS
Greetings,

Well, i got Mac OS x86(6)... I'm trying to install it, but when the installation program is loading up it says "Your computer needs to reboot" or something like that, so I go ahead and reboot my PC.
Nothing shows up on the bootloader (where appears MS Windows XP, MS Windows 2000, Linux,.... ), so I made my computer to read once again the disc, and also once again asked to reboot the computer.

At least AMD is compatible?

Thanks in advance.

Just a doubt, do you have your CD Drive on your boot sequence ?

Make sure your hardware can run Mac OS X Version 10.4 Tiger

Mac OS X Version 10.4 requires a Macintosh with:
PowerPC G3, G4, or G5 processor
Built-in FireWire
At least 256MB of physical RAM
A built-in display or a display connected to an Apple-supplied video card supported by your computer
At least 3.0 GB of available space on your hard drive; 4GB of disk space if you install XCode 2 developer tools
DVD drive for installation (get CD media for $9.95)
I don't know if it works or not :$

Well this guy managed how to do it : http://www.aplus.co.yu/software-web/mac-os-xhappi...-on-my-amd-athlon/

He's using this : http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/

See if any of these guides help.

By the way, I don't know a lot about this subject, but it is my understanding that only specially patched versions can be installed on non-Apple hardware.  If you are using an unmodified, original copy, it won't work.

Well, the OS i have is MAC for x86 (Supposed to be Intel/AMD cpus)... I think you already know about this release. If you don't know yet take a look HERE. I searched on this official site they only mention Intel. I have an AMD XP 2500+ cpu.

Yes, it's a DVD disc. Actully I'm able to load up the setup program, but it's 'Preparing' the installation, after reading some files from the disc it will ask to reboot the computer, then I reboot the computer, and once again it will ask to reboot the computer, and so on..... I'm unable to go further.

Well, it HAS to work with a MAC for x86 release. BTW, it's not modified, actully Apple made this release some time ago.

But thanks anyways, I'll take a loot at those guides and then post results here.

Really your not supposed to install OSX on vanilla x86 hardware. Your only supposed to use it on Apple brand hardware (macintosh) considering the newer macs (iMac and mini) use intel procs.

So... iMacs will have Intel CPUs?
