Bulldog is fast, very fast. But customer support is awful. They used to be a small company with 20 on their suppport team. Now with a huge promotion, their users and profits are up, but support has hardly been touched.

Alot of angry users found they were without a phone or the internet for weeks on end. I suggest you dont go with them. There are alot of complicats about Bulldog involving connection issues. Also your current isp is not that great. I suggest BT, or like me Telewest. But I use Telewest because I have their cable services as well. :P

I hear NTL is boosting their connection speed soon, but Telewest support is great. My connection has never gone down, and my cable box has been upgraded for free 3 times now. They really look after their customers. :)

The company most likly brought your details from another company, it is legal, it is only illegal if the data is wrong. Or your parents got hasled on the street for a market research where they asked for a phone number. :P

damn... i thought it was a breach of privacy or something, i thought he companies had to keep your data to themselves rather than hand it out to other companies

Nope, data is a very expensive item, companies pay big money for it.

Personal data must:

  • Be processed fairly and lawfully
  • Be obtained for the specification and lawful purposes
  • Be relative for its purpose
  • Be accurate and up-to-date
  • Not be kept longer than necessary
  • Be processed within the rights of the data subjects
  • Be kept secure against loss, damage and unauthorised and unlawful processing
  • Not be transferred outside Europe

The individual can:
  • Be given a copy of the data held
  • Have the data deleted or blocked if proven in accurate

You have to change your normal phone line to Bulldog as well.

Bulldog have had LOADS of customer support issues etc in the past.

I wouldn't bother if I were you :P
