O.P. Huh?  Colours in Windows Live Messenger 8.0 BETA
With my normal msn, I downloaded Messenger Plus and was able to have my name in colour and also see my contact's name in colour. Now I have downloaded Windows Live Messenger 8.0 BETA my name doesn't come up in colour - I tried downloading Messenger Plus again but this doesn't work. Is there any way that I can see my name in colour again? If not, is there going to be new software that will enable me to do so?

You need Messenger Plus Live! 4, but it's not relased yet - it will be really soon though as a public beta - so just be patiant :D
