O.P. Winamp question or suggestion
I have been a winamp user for as long as i remember and it is my main music player for my mp3 collection. However one problem i have chosen to put up with for so long has finally got me to post this question.

I have all my songs in one big playlist so i can quickly choose through songs i want to listen to or even let it play on random and choose many different artists to listen to.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way in winamp (or even a plugin) that allows me to quickly search for a song name, partial song name, artist, etc so that i could find what i am looking for. I like winamp alot but would consider trying another program could no solution be found to this.
I have read abit about FooBar as well and it sounds like it is fairly customisable with skins etc.

Any thoughts or help?

Press J while having the main window open (the Equaliser etc)... It's already a built in function! :)

The media library is helpful but when you click on a returned result to play it it clears the rest of the playlist which is not too helpful once the song finishes.

Oh wow thanks Sypher that is exactly what i was looking for. I have looked in the winamp options numerous times and never come across this. thanks very much. and best of all it doesnt clear the rest of the songs and rather just goes to where you want in the playlist.

Thanks everyone for reading/helping

And if you have the Global HotKeys plugin, set up Ctrl+Alt+J to bring it up ;)

I think the Media Library only works with the Winamp Modern Skin, which is the best one anyway :P

Hence I said Classic Skins :P
It's just that not all of them skin that particular window: the skin I use doesn't.
