Please wait for a couple days because I found many mistakes in sinancetinkaya's translation. I will contact him and let us send the new corrected file. (note: I am the Turkish translator of Messenger Plus! ;))

Hi, I am using Windows Media Player 11 but this script doesn't show the song. My messenger shows it from directly Windows Media Player but that is the standard look, not this script's special look. I can't format the the now playing with Plus! tags. Also with this script's version which accompanied with Messenger Plus! Live, when I wanted to send the song I was listening on wmp to a contact, it said "wmp isn't installed". But now I have installed latest 1.3.4 version, now it sends "NP   :  [/00:00] [] (Stopped)" although my song is still playing. What is the problem?

disable "windows live media plugin" in wmp and enable the "true launch one" (tools -> plugins)
Thank you very much.

the script doesnt get the coverart from the ID3 tag instead it either finds it in the folder or looks it up on amazon, the ID3 tag thing is on my todo list
OK. Thanks :-)

It doesn't work after MSN and/or WMP is restarted.

I'm having a problem with iTunes.
When I'm playing a song the script displays the Artist / Song / Album and the other things and when the song stops and it goes to a new song it switches back to the ' classic ' display that Msn Live always shows ( title - artist ).

Does anyone knows what it could be?

BTW just to add, you need to run foobar with the flag "/regsvr:comserver2" to start the com server.
So change your target path on your shortcut to something like
""C:\Program Files\foobar2000\foobar2000.exe" /regsvr:comserver2"

Foobar2k Support (w/out the winamp emulator plugin.., I feel that the COM plugin works better than the winamp one)

1. Install this - http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=39946&st=0

2. Create a file called fb2k.player.js and put it in the now playing's player folder in the script directory (Default: C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Scripts\Now Playing\players).

Input the data found here: http://www.ampaste.net/9037

And you should be ready.

Note: No support, the sendsong feature doesn't work for some reason. But at least it does what it is supposed to. Also, this assumes that FB2K is always open as long as Messenger is (i cannot use the interop.call to check if it's open for some reason..it's due to the GUID thing I guess)

I have followed this exactly repeatedly to no avail!
Is this method out dated and not working now!?
can someone please give me a yes or no?

I never knew that there was a configuration for this, i thought it just detected your song that you were playing and displayed it in your PSM lol.

There is a problem with this plug-in's interaction with Winamp. It seems to read the track irrespective of whether or not it is actually playing. I had to add [if_status=playing][/if_status] to stop it from displaying a track permanently. Added to this, if you clear the active playlist it causes an exception in Winamp and forces it to close. Any ideas?
