Hello, does anyone know how to configure the messenger plus  live (with windows live messenger) to enter my gmail account, by button press (like entring the email account for the messenger user, wich is hotmail account for me) and not only letting me know how many new emails i have there (in external email accounts)?

First go to your gmail inbox go to settings(near email id on top) > Fowarding and POP3 and configure it.

Now enter the information in MP!L.

Edit: Make sure you enable it and use this info.

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL:      pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS:     smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587

Account Name:     your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com')

Email Address:     your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com)

Password:     your Gmail password



I already had posted in another thread about an hour back.

I've done that already, the problem is when i'm pressing on the popup window that notifies me about the new messages in the gmail account it do not direct me to the gmail inbox, like when i'm pressing on the popup window when I'm getting a new mail in my hotmail account (wich is the messenger account) and the inbox of hotmail is opened

I had the same problem.

On the E-mail Client field, just put:

"C:\Archivos de programa\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.exe" http://mail.google.com

Yes, the path (including the quotes) AND the URL.

Now, it will just open the gmail site, and will ask you for your password... but it's better than nothing anyways

You don't have to put all of that though, just put in "http://mail.google.com" in the Email client field...

by the way, if u are checking th e "remember me" checkbox (and probably have cookies allowed) u can log on autonaticly, without the need to enter the passwaord
and the difference between:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.exe" http://mail.google.com

and just http://mail.google.com

is that the latter is using an existing iexplorer window (if one is open)
and the first one is openning a new window, wich is more convinient for me)

I don't understand one thing, what part is for configuring in my e-mail account and what is for configuring in Messenger Plus...and please use one english simply because i am not english and i don't have a big voccabulary...and thanks for helping me

and in the same line it's possible change the internet explorer for mozilla firefox to use the mozilla when i go to my inbox with messenger?


and the shurtcut in main window of messenger it's possible to the external e-mail accounts?

You can use Stuff Plug to open all urls in your default broser.
