O.P. [Request] Offline Notifier
I know there's a built-in feature for this in MSG PLUS! LIVE.
But I don't really like pop-ups

So, can anyone make it something like this?
If someone logs out it displays inside of the conversation window,

<contact name> has logged out.

Maybe with a different color even, so it's easier noticable..

Not really... I'm pretty sure this can be done.... Plus Mr. G.... if they're offline, they're not going to be able to receive the message anyways :p

It can be done, but if you didn't open a conversation what will happen, and if you opened a conversation this will show up in the contact you're catting with convo windows too ^o)!!! so how do you think this will work now?

Mr. G

No idea, if I knew how that stuff worked I wouldn't request it right?

I'm asking if anyone can do this, so i rather have feedback from a programmer than a random run-around-every-thread-to-say-something-which-is-not-requested person.
(I dont mean to be rude though)

Isn't there something like a session for every contact you open a conversation with?
If so, you can just send the msg to ONLY that session.

The yellow bar isn't enough? Sorry but that thing takes up a lot of space in the conversation window and is REALLY not a thing you can miss..

You can try to change the color to orange or red...

It's possible to create a script which will destroy the conversation window upon a contact changing to offline. This way you can't accidently message them.

yeah thats not a bad idea, but i would get annoyed by that.. the yellow bar isnt enough, its hard to see, and its to easy to send offline messages, more so if u dont touch type, or are at the end of a message when they go off. im sick of people coming back online a day later and being like: huh?

anyone got a script to make yellow info bar red?

Currently Plus! scripts do not provide a way to put something in the conversation without your contact also recieving that string (note: when a contact is offline, they still will recieve the message as an "offline message" the next time they come online)...

Another way to notify you in a very clear manner is to pop up a messagebox saying the contact went offline; you wouldn't be able to type anything (anymore) unless you close the messagebox; this can be done with scripts.

The color (and more?) of the yellow bar can only (and probably) be changed by patching some of the GUI files inside Messenger's resources. In other words, you need to patch messenger for that.
