O.P. Working with a skin...
I need to know how to remove thie picture from this skin's contact window.

Or I need it removed for me. If someone knows how and it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate it.

Which picture? The girl, the thing at the bottom or the hexagonal shapes?

If you mean the girl, it is located in your messenger directory as lvback.gif or lvback.png, just delete the file :).

All I did was add a msgres.dll I think, and the skin is what I got. Along with the girl

if it's in msgres.dll you'll need to use resource hacker to get rid of it.
give me a few minutes and i'll have a walkthrough for ya.

edit:

note:
this is modifying msn, which violates the eula, though you've already replaced msgres.dll, so this is a moot point

OKAY HERE'S HOW TO REALLY DO IT
1. reshacker http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
2. msgres.dll
3. ctrl+f 20058
4. delete those two lines
5. compile
6. save and exit
