I have searched on here and maybe I didn't look hard enough, but every script that I have downloaded does not work. Does my contact need the new Messenger Plus! Live for them to work. They have the older version of Messenger Plus!. I import them once downloaded and they are all enabled, but when I try them out, they do not work. Can someone help me out with this problem.

What scripts in particular do not work for you?
And do they have any appearance of activity?
Are they enabled? - According to you they are .

We need more information than the fact they simply "do not work" .

Also, for some scripts your contact doesn't even need Plus!, or WLM. Just MSN will do (for some scripts, not all).

The scripts that I have currently are:

ContactSay
Mocking
Slang Replacer
StealDP

^^ I have/had all of those, and they have worked fine for me. ContactSay only temporarly changes your display name to your contacts, then changes back. It uses your font however.

My guess would either be a faulty install of WLM, Plus!, or the script itself.

Your contact doesn't need anything except msn/wlm for any of those to work, so I have a feeling its an error on your end.

Try uninstalling the scripts that aren't working, and then go download them. But save them to your computer, and use the "Import" button in the scrips dialog in Plus!. Scripts, for me, seem to corrupt themselves with a direct install from my browser >_>.

Have you used any patches of some sort to modify the way Windows Live Messenger looks or operates? Have you ever installed SmileyCentral?

I had the same problem but on the Dutch help forum they gave me this instructions:

Uninstall Windows Live Messenger and Messenger Plus Live. Go to C:/Program Files and delete the Maps of those programs! Download them again at http://messenger.live.com and http//www.msgpluslive.net and install them! Install the scripts again and now they should work!

I have never installed the Smiley Central. Too many ppl told me bad things about it so I kept away from it. I do remember today I got a message saying that a new version of WLM was available and the only function that i can say was added to the new version was the ability to add yahoo contacts. I am going to try and re-install WLM and see if that works.

Normally that will fix it! I didn't got Smiley Central or wich other freaking spyware program on my Computer! But I think there was something wrong with the Windows Live Messenger! (I was using him from the beginning ==> Beta version! Maybe it was because I only update it to the official version and not fully reinstalled it! I don't know! I'm not that known with the program language of Msn!

I did the un-install on WLM and MPL and that fixed the problem. Thanks for all of your help. It's been greatly appreciated.

Glad to hear you got it working JJJohnson ^___^! It was probably a corruption when your messenger asked you to upgrade . Personally, I suggest uninstalling the old version, and downloading and installing the newer one when a new messenger comes out. Sure it takes some time, but it avoids issues .
