My Windows Media plugin is working with WLM because the popup comes and shows my song.

MSN Messenger 7 used to show the title of the song beside my name at the top of the contact list but WLM doesn't.

How do I fix it?

p.s. what happened to the status text beside buddies?

Is "What I'm Listening To" turned on? If it isn't, go to the drop-down arrow next to your personal message and select Turn on "What I'm Listening To". Otherwise, go to Tools -> Options, then check the box next to the text that says "Show song information from Windows Media Player as a personal message".

It IS on because I get a popup when I play the music.

(obviously I have checked the box otherwise the popup would not happen).

The problem is that the song title is not beside my name [in the contact list] even though other people can see my song title.

After reading your post it seems I dont even have a personal message. I just have my MSN name beside the status pull down arrow.

Do you have a script like theRand that keeps changing your psm every now and again?

Ah its ok now. Somehow even though I did not disable "my personal message" in A-Patch it still wasn't there.

I must have disabled it at one point and somehow through all the messing about with WLM it did not restore my personal message even though I later unchecked that box in A-Patch.

After a clean install it came back.
