I have a slim PS2, (SCPH-7003 I believe).

As of last night it just won't load DVDs.. to the point that if a DVD is in, it won't even show the start up screen, but take it out.. or change it to a PS2 game and it'll show the screen (and load up if a game's in..)

any ideas? (Everything in my house at the mo seems to be falling apart )

I get a similar issue with my PS2 (SCPH-30003), but resetting the console without removing the disc always works.
