O.P. Unpartitioned Space Help.
Well I remember once that somewhere in device manager you can check your partitions and your unpartitioned space. But I cant seem to find where it is :S.

Just go to Disk Drives, right click on one and hit properties, then go to volume and hit populate. Thats all i do :)

I dont understand what you mean. Where in disk drives? In device manager :S More specific please.


I remember theres a place in device manager or something that shows you how much unparitioned space you have.

In Device Manager you can drop down Disk Drives.

yes then i see a harddrive or something called
HDT2XXXXXXX etc... instead of X theres random numbers. and when i right click it theres no option to populate.



Edit: I found populate but thats not what im looking for :/

Ok, right click it.
Properties
then a popup with the drive comes up.
Go to Volume.
Then Populate
...there used to be a signature here :)

Edit: actually it might help first let me install sp2 because big hard drivess dont show up unless u dont have it.

Edit: Im still looking for what i ment at first :S. Maybe ill describe it better:

Well at the right it shows you your partitions and your unpartitioned space. There you can make new partitions and you can format your older partition etc.... :/

I think what you are after is Control Panel > Administration Tools > Computer Management.  Then in the area on the left go Storage > Disk Management.

I hope I understood you correctly and that is what you are after.
