Suddenly it started to show this problem. I've added myself to my list for like a year now or so to check how my name is in someone else's list.
But it shows my name offline. And not only that, when I talk to someone they say that I'm offline aswell. While I'm online!

That's not the only problem.
I already had this problem so I reinstalled WLM.
Then it worked normally (don't know if it's actually related though).
But after being online for a while MSN starts to freeze. Then I start up a new one and it runs next to the frozen one. After a while I have like 5 WLM's running -_-

Does anyone know what could cause these problems?

The reason why you appear offline to your contacts (and to yourself, since you've added yourself) is because of a bug in the Messenger protocol which still exists. Many people have experienced this. All you can do is sit it out.

The reason why your Messenger freezes can be caused by many things (bug in messenger, bad scripts in Plus!, etc).

The reason why you have multiple messengers is because you either patched messenger with a polygamy patch or you either enabled the "multiple accounts" option in Plus! > Preferences > Messenger > Main. (which is also a polygamy patch actually)

Try to remove (or only cut them and paste them somewhere else) your Plus! Scripts from the Messenger Plus! Live Program files folder and try to connect again, it used to happen to me and I did this to find out that it was some script that made wlm freeze.

I have seen it. When I use scripts then WLM Window freezes for a few seconds after signing in. Without any scripts its running fine in my PC .

I've had it several times and it just got well itself

when I use Windows Messenger (the basic old one) I AM online at that one, but when I switch to Windows Live Messenger it states that I'm offline =s
So it's Windows Live Messenger's fault?

I think it is WML fault, I got this problem today aswell, and it seems I gotta wait for it to be fixed. Can't do nothing about it yet, than wait.

I assume so.  I'm having this problem too with WLM for the last couple of days (and it's driving me INSANE)...tried out web messenger, and I can finally be seen online.  I hope I don't have to resort to this for a long period though!
