O.P. Help: Log encyption
Hi, for some reason or other, when I try to open my encrypted chat logs, instead of prompting me for my password, it just opens up the encrypted log. How do I access my logs? I've switched off the encryption option but that still doesn't help. Does anyone know how I can get the password prompt back so I can access my logs?

RE: Help: Log encyption
The encrypted logs just open in notepad or something?

This means that the program association with the PLE extension is either corrupted or overwritten.

Each time you double click a non-executable file in Windows, Windows will search for the associated program to open it with. In case for encrypted chat logs, which have the file extension .PLE, this associated program is "Log Viewer.exe" from Messenger Plus!.

To fix this you have two ways (there are more ways, but these are the easiest):

method 1:

* Reinstall Messenger Plus! Live. (easy enough, no? :P)
PS: Don't worry about your settings, they wont be reset.

method 2:

* Right click an encrypted log file.
* A context menu will popup and here you need to select "Open With..."
* Now a dialog will popup with all sorts of programs. In this dialog find "Messenger Plus! Live Log Viewer". If you don't find it click the "Browse" button and navigate to the directory where Messenger Plus! Live is installed and select the program "Log Viewer.exe".
* Don't click on "OK" yet, first select the option "Always open this file with this program" underneath the file list in the dialog.
* Now press "OK"
.-= A 'frrrrrrrituurrr' for Wacky =-.
