i want to format my hard drive but i cant find the disc
so i was wondering if there something that removes everything but just keeps the os on there?

Nah, no app can distinguish that kind of stuff.  You could just go to add / remove programs in control panel and remove all the apps then delete anything in my documents and such.  But it'll hardly be the same as a clean format.

okay but add.remove though....but if i remove java and adobe reader and net.framework...would it still work

Yes.  Though programs that use Java wouldn't work, you couldn't look at PDFs, and you couldn't use .Net programs.

.net programs..... what programs does that include

Er... lot's of things... can only think of paint.net of the top of my head, but a bunch of messenger things use it.  I'd leave it installed tbh.

I'd reccomend using CCleaner. i don't know where to download it, but u may find This link helpful for finding it. :/
