RE: Mac .. MacBooks
there is more software available for a mac to do image/video/multimedia editing etc, the list for PC isn't as good (feature, quality or ease of use wise

I was quite impressed with iStopMotion teh other day, I have monkey jam for PC but it doesn't support onion skinning and the intereface isn't as nice

I'd say that macs aren't that great, i use them at colelge all day everyday. They lock up, freeze and take forever to load things, also silly little things are really annoying, for example the button you think would maximise doesn't, closing an app doesn't exit the app, shortcuts for certain programs don't work (i'm thinking macromedia suite here) and they have a high rate of fucking up my hardware (memory cards, usb sticks, PSP etc)

They're nice but really do not live up to their name or image

Well, don't do it. It's not worth the hassle.
