Minimize Plus! to system tray [Image: msn_confused.gif], why would one want that? Sorry but it cannot be done.

Or Do you mean Minimize Windows Live Messenger to system tray, for that use the X button or the close button on the contact list [Image: msn_tongue.gif].

RE: minimizing msg plus
You can infact do this, by changing the Messenger Lock options:

Tick the option to use the shortcut and choose a shortcut.
Untick 'Send a message ...' unless you want it.
Tick 'Change my status' because you won't be able to see when you recieve a message, so let your contacts know your busy/away.
Untick 'Modify the systray icon'

'Unlock with a double-click' option.
Everything else unticked.

This will minimise WLM to the systray. Just double click and they will all open again.

Note: You won't be alerted when you recieve a message/e-mail etc.

Using these options is locking it, but it's still doing what you want, minimising it to the systray.

May I note that "Messenger Plus!" and "MSN Messenger" (or "windows live messenger") or NOT the same.

Messenger Plus! is just an addon for Messenger which add extra features to Messenger. You still chat and use Messenger and if you click on the red X you close/minimize Messenger.

In essense, Messenger Plus! is an extra menu in Messenger which provides some more options; it does not replace the Messenger chat client in any way.
