How do I download embedded videos that have flash in it?

From where?
I use Firefox and Video Downloader 1.1

No that doesn't work...I tried doing that but didn't work

it works when u do it on the original website (ex: youtube.com not a site where its embedded) atleast for me...

Or if you mean Flash in general...
You could try Sothink SWF Catcher, you can download (almost) all flash from a site, and it reverse engineers the .swf to a .fla
You have to know Flash to figure out where the .swf downloads the video from the main site

If you know, you can (almost always) download the vid from the main site...

Well, I downloaded the SWF file and indeed the video won't show up. Taking a look to the SWF file, I decompiled it and found the URL to the video.

I'm unable to change format to MPEG or AVI because my lack of time, so, I just leave you how to get it.

How do I find the actual url onhow to do it though? doing it thru firefox I can't figure it out.  Seems like so much trouble to do it all for just a few chapters of a DVD.

I use a proxy server to view all URLs accessed. Practice and patience then finds me what I want.
