I upgraded my msn 7.5 to messenger Live.
After that i also upgraded MS!3 to MS!L.
The problem is that now i can´t get my nicknames back.
Previous to the instalation, i have make a backup, but now MS!L says it can't read the pld file. I've lots of contacts that just know from the nickname (eg: foruns, etc) and not by the email.
So, why can i read the information that is in the pld file?
Problem is WLM itself implemented a nickname feature, so it was decided that Messenger Plus! Live wouldn't have one (for now, anyway, it may do later).
I'm not sure if it's possible to get the nicknames out of a pld file or not, I would try opening it in notepad to see if there is any obvious way the nicknames are saved.

Tried that. No lucky.
The nicknames and the emails are there but, they are not together, the come with spaces beetwen the letters and with lots of garbage beetwen all the information.
