I'm having trouble enabling the popups for Plus! so that it takes over the job of this.

I'd like this so I can disable an "Online Popup" for someone (there's a story behind it, I'm not being spiteful).

Anyone give me some advice?

Choose "notify for all contacts but the selected one(s)" in the dropdown list...then check the one person you don't want a notification of.

Don't forget to turn of the notifications in WLM itself (tools > options > Alerts and sounds) or you'll get double ones.

I do that, but whenever it comes to pressing next for the 3rd image it comes up with this:


Also, is that how you enable the Plus! Popups?

This, along with the screenshot, makes it seem like you haven't actually told Plus! how you want to be notified. That's what the checkboxes in that dialog are for

You need to check one of the checkboxes telling it to play a sound or make a toast!  Do actually read the error message.

EDIT:  Too late...

I want to have no notification for this contact, I want to turn the "Online Popup" off for this contact, as it were.

Just select all the contacts you DO want the popup for, and only enable the toast notification for them.  Then disable the default popups from WLM, as mentioned above.

Ah, so, doing it that way. I'll try that.

Also, are the Plus! Popups automatically enabled when I add this then?

I do believe so.

I have enable sign-in and sign-out notfications (pop up and sound) for a contact, but am never notified.  Just get the standard connect message from WML, and nothing for sign-out.

What could I be missing?
