I want to get a monitor for my Laptop, but I'm not sure how to approach this. So here's a picture It's a Toshiba Satlellite m65-s9092

why would you need to get a monitor for a laptop? the only reason I attached mine was because  I had an extra one lying around. And you can get any that use vga port (most monitors)

Main reason is because I want to be able to put it on top of this little box thing I have so I can save a little space for my arms, plus the monitor is just not easy on my eyes

It is a standard VGA port. Just get a VGA monitor. When you connect it you need to enable the External Display (Function Key + F?) The F? key will be one of your F1-12 keys, it will have either a picture of a monitor or 2 monitors or say LCD. Press this key combination twice, it will enable display on both outputs.
