O.P. Help Please (changed OS, contact names gone)
hey.

i have changed OS but still have my old OS windows live messenger plus files, i have 900 contacts and many were renamed and took so long to do.

On my new OS..fresh install my names are gone...question is how can i get them back, where are they stored? as i could access them on old OS

Thanks

RE: Help Please
If you are using Windows Live Messenger, you must have Messenger Plus! Live installed, and Plus! Live doesn't have the feature to save custom names anymore.
So you must have renamed your contacts from WLM.

To my knowledge, all renamed contacts are stored in Messenger servers and that's why one can see the renamed contacts from any machine using WLM, so you don't need to "get the files." :)
.. unless you are talking about different files.
