Hi. Just a question here.

I'm having problems connecting with a buddy using the Phone Call feature (voice to voice). None of us have firewalls blocking anything. So I don't see the problem with any firewall blocking incoming stuff. It just says "connecting with...(name)" at the bottom for a very long time. Till we just give up and don't voice at all. VOICE CLIPS work perfectly fine. But for some reason I can't connect with my partner. I tried it with other friends too. Some people I can connect easily too, others I cannot. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this?

If you remove Messenger Plus! Live? does it still do the same thing?

If it does still do the same thing, report it to Microsoft as this is not a problem with Messenger Plus! Live as Making a Phone call from Messenger is a Windows Live Messenger Feature, not a Messenger PLus! Live feature.

I have the same problem with Windows messenger. It seems to bee connectet to update 13.11.2006:

I hope Microsoft would fix the problem soonest.

Are you guys using wlm 8.1 beta, if you are get 8.0.
do you have any other programs, like limewire that use the internet (excluding Internet browsers and messengers) running, and how strong is your internet connection?

I have only basic programms running. No any additional tools etc. The computer is Fujitsu-Siemens, Win Home, F-Secure virus/firewall (which is not the reason for troubles).

I have now several comments and all are pointing at above mentioned security update.

Do you have a router operating an LAN network?

The connection is a normal ADSL with 2MB speed. The computer is connected to the ADSL with WLan. The WLM has worked very well until the security update
