O.P. Huh?  Letters for Email & Password PROBLEM - HELP
On a laptop, using MSN 8.0.0812.00, MSN Live has never been able to work, when i go to type my email in (to sign in), the letters appear very slowly, making it unrealistic to use.

Say i type "abcdef" in the email address field, it will wait 15seconds and "ab" will appear, wait another long time then "cd" will appear and this is what happens.

The details of the laptop are:
MSN: 8.0.0812.00
OS: Windows XP, Home, SP2
Processor: Mobile AMD Sempron, 2800+, 800MHz, 192MB of RAM

You are probably suffering from a lack of memory and the slow CPU wouldn't be helping either.  I think it is more of a lack of hardware than a problem with the program.  Have a try at using the basic old Windows Messenger that comes packaged with XP.

Lack of memory, yes. However, that processor is far from slow.
