to install it, i need to format the virtual drive, but when I type "FDISK C (or C: or C:\)" it says incorrect parameter

what am I doing wrong?

fdisk doesn't accept parameters. Just type fdisk and press enter.

You will need to say Yes about the 512mb drive.
Then you want to Create Partition
Create primary partition.

Once that is done then rebook and format the drive using format c: /autotest.

too late, i downloaded got hold of another copy of win2k and it worked fine (installed like xp).
