O.P. Home Networking
I have been using home networking for a while now, I have a laptop and have it so as I can see the things on the family pc that I want to access.

To my horror, I have discovered that this is not one way as I intended. On the family pc, if you go to

Windows Explorer > My Network Places > Entire Network …. etc.

… my laptop contents are visable and some are accessible! I have managed in my haste to stop ‘some’ sharing (by right clicking folders and going to secuity/sharing) but my whole desktop, favourites and other things without that option can still be accessed from the family pc. Even the things I have managed to block still have titles of the folder displayed :$

HELP!!

I want to be able to see things on the family pc from my laptop and to use the printer - but want NOTHING from my laptop to be visible!! :|

RE: Home Networking
I think you may find This helpful
I use networking and i just put things on there that i want, and not make a whole computer visable, because i can be very dodgy if its wireless and unsecured
