I very much doubt that Plus!Live is the cause of this. Uninstall Plus!Live and see if that solves it. Also please don't use stuff such as SweetIM or SmileyCentral, there's incompatibility issues between Plus!Live and those.
Note that Windows Live Messenger uses quite an amount of memory, this might be your problem. For that there's only a few things to solve it..either use MSN 7.5 (with Plus!3, not Plus!Live), use less programs at once or put some more RAM in your computer (how much is inthere now?).
