ok i have a folder called j  what do i do just click rename then hold alt then press 0610 while holding alt - that dosnt work it justs puts it back to j

I think he means my way.. by clicking 'hide'..

You could search for it and click 'look for hidden files too' or click the main folder and hide everything, then unhide it.. I dont know of a more 'practical' way.

No. Delete the name then use alt+0610 and it will work.

okay, rename the folder, so take the 'j' out and then press the 'Alt' key and then press 0160 in sequence(all whilst holding Alt)

so essentially 'Alt+0(let go of '0')+1(let go of '1')+6(let go of '6')+0(let go of '0'(and then let go of alt too))

Ok this is what i do,

I right click the folder then go to rename,
Then i take the j away so there is nothing,
Then i hold alt then type (while holding alt) 0160 then i press enter.
When i press enter it gose back to j.

Nothing happed

Make sure your not holding alt when you press enter. If it still goes back to j then i dunno what is happening. Is it just a normal folder?

Are you using the number keypad ?
If so, is it enabled?

Oh, it wont work then, Alt + <insert number> only works when you use the numberpad(usually on the right hand side of the keyboard, but there isn't allways one on some keyboards ¬¬)
