O.P. BSOD Stop error on shutdown
Lately my brother's computer has been getting a Blue Screen Of Death shut down error, a STOP error saying DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
He is running Windows XP SP2 on a Dell Dimension, Pentium 4 Processor and a ATi graphics card. There has been no recent updates or changes and this error only happens when shutting down from the lesser used profile of the two on his pc.
On another website i have found this,
0x000000D1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
The system attempted to access pageable memory using a kernel process IRQL that was too high. The most typical cause is a bad device driver (one that uses improper addresses). It can also be caused by caused by faulty or mismatched RAM, or a damaged pagefile.
Does anyone know anything about this error, or could give me a suggested course of action?
