hi, i have windows live messenger 8.5 and msg plus 4.7.
i can't see contacts personal status in my contact list, any ideas?

Hmmm, Never had this problem, Although I now use Wlm 9.0 [Its good you should try it] and the new plus beta.

All I can suggest it to check all you're options. Maybe Re-Install Plus and Wlm.

Also can you're contacts see you're personal status?

thanks, never knew there was a beta msg plus out for messenger 9 as this was what made me downgrade from 9 to 8.5!

downloaded WLM beta and Plus but still no personal statuses showing up on my contact list! 

Is Plus definitely installed correctly?

Do you see the icon in the contact list?

And what do you mean by personalised status? 

You should be able to see those regardless of having Plus, they're just a tag added to the screenname
