If you used a third-party e-mail address to create your Windows Live ID you might be asked to verify your e-mail address.
To verify your e-mail address:
1. Click Verify your e-mail address.
2. Make sure the e-mail address shown is correct, and then select Send me verification e-mail.
3. When you receive the verification e-mail, follow the enclosed instructions.
Do this from the account settings @ account.live.com.
Log in with your GMail address.
go to https://www.passport.net/ , sign up for a Microsoft Passport Network and choose an option where you already have an email address.
Then just fill the rest of the form.
