O.P. touchpad wont work
it seems like vista doesnt have proper drivers for my touchpad since in device manager it says that the "PS/2" compatible mouse" (cant even name it properly) already has the latest driver installed. but it work at all when i try to move it or press the keys. and the drivers that came with the laptop dont work (gives 2 or 3 errors about missing files and i tried running in compatibility for xp)

help before i go portable, and will be forced to use a huge ass mouse

(and i uninstalled the driver before, but that somehow it seemed to have caused wirelss to not work and i had to reformat...)

nope, the laptop was made before vista was announced and is not expected to run it, and vista found all drivers for everything else anyways...

i'm gonna try 64bit drivers they have for a slightly different model (xp)

edit: nope, started installing, then after a couple of minutes it gave an error (when ran in compatibility mode)
