O.P. My remote control Help
It seems that someone is having trouble using my remote control. we have isolated the problem but i cant figure out why it isn't working. i guess there is a problem with find the shutdown exe on his computer. i have tried to figure this out but i can t so now i call on the forum to help.

1) are you talking about a pc remote? (mce sort of thing?)
2) if yes, is it an ir/bt or some other type of remote
3) does the pc respond at all at the remote? or say what happens

i think he's talking about the script.. Remote Control

anyway, try googling the program and downloading it.. place it in %SYSTEMROOT%

The problem is that when the script tries to run the shutdown.exe it says it doesn't exist. Would it matter if the user is running a Spanish version of windows instead of English version?

what is the windows folder called? it works here... and my windows folder is "WINDOWS"

I have a question, I'm a little confused about this script. When you download the script and set it up, Is the script saposed to do something to you or to the user your talking to? From the Screen shot enterd in the Script Download, It looks like it does this to the person your talking to, but it shuts MY computer down...

The script is meant to shutdown, logoff, etc.  your computer.

Ex. You forgot to turn off your computer so you use your friends msn account to send the command and password to shutdown your computer.

shutdown.exe is found in "windows\system32\shutdown.exe"

ohhhh so what you're saying is that, The person needs this script for you to be able to shut them down?
